Claire Russell
Claire Russell has worked in the industry for almost 20 years starting with Walt Disney Studios in Los Angeles in the early 90s. She transferred back to London as Development Executive for the new Disney Channels, working on award winning children’s dramas including Microsoap and moved to CBBC where she worked on the Danny Peacock comedy/drama Cavegirl and developed teen dramas. The north beckoned as BBC Scotland started up their indigenous soap, River City, Claire worked there for over a year before moving to Scottish Television as Development Executive, developing and editing the new Rebus series starring Ken Stott. Claire was Associate Producer on the drama series Goldplated, created and written by Jimmy Gardner for World Productions and Channel 4. Claire is Head of Development and Production for Cajun.
Jimmy Gardner
Jimmy Gardner wrote several critically acclaimed and award winning television series. He co-created and wrote THE COPS with Robert Jones produced by World Productions for BBC2 – this ran to 3 series and won two BAFTA Awards and the Royal Television Society Award for Best Drama Series. This was followed by the prison drama BURIED for World and Channel 4 which also won a BAFTA for Best Drama Series and Goldplated, also for World and Channel 4. Jimmy also wrote for a number of other series including The Bill, This Life, Outlaws and George Gently.
Nigel Britten
Nigel Britten has worked in the entertainment industry for 30 years. He spent 6 years as an agent at London Management, before leaving to become a director of the writers' agency Lemon Unna and Durbridge (now The Agency). In August 1993 he established his own company, Nigel Britten Management, representing a distinguished list of writers and directors working in television and film drama, which he continues to run. Nigel is Head of Strategy and Business Affairs for Cajun.
